Before it blows a piston to pieces?

Was on the dyno today and shattered a piston on my stock engine on a 125 shot. I'll try to post some pics when it's torn down, but basically the A/F was perfect, and it made 357rwhp and 476rwtq. He fattened up the bottom end, right when the window switch kicks on, and the nitrous loved it. Loved it a little too much, it seems. With the same jets, same timing, just fatter on fuel, when it popped at 3800ish rpm, it was making 360rwhp/538rwtq.

Oops....... Time for a new engine.

Stock longblock from the throttle body to the exhaust manifolds. Just the normal bolt-ons other than that for power. Most of my money has been spent in suspension up until now, but I just finished it up last week, so it was time to try some new stuff........lol

I don't know how exciting a build-log would be for my car, it's pretty much done. Suspension is all done, wheels and tires are done, rear end is done. I'm just pulling the popped longblock, swapping the Bullitt intake, valve covers and oilpan on the new longblock, putting the UD pulleys on it, and then bolting it right back into place.

Nothing sexy or exciting, all that stuff is done already.

under charging batteries, some even cause cooling issues. piggy back pullies have a tendency of chewing the snub of cranks or digging the keyway. being billet aluminum they wollow out from being soft after time. i broke the bolt torque on my BBK pullies and literally eased the pullies off. they should not come off that easy. they over thrust the harmonics on the oil pump gears in 4vs. for the expense of those mods you free up maybe 4 hp, its not worth the other cons.

thats why u get the steeda's they aren't piggy back

I've had my Steedas for over 2 years, and have never had anything that resembles a charging problem, even sitting in traffic with the air conditioning running before I deleted it. I have a Meziere waterpump, so that's not a concern, and even before I did, (recent addition), the same thing applies. Sitting in 100 degree heat in traffic, the needle never moved a bit.

Underdrive pulleys will only show you there's a problem that already existed but was masked, if your car is working properly to begin with, they cause no problems at all. But I wouldn't touch a piggyback pulley to begin with.

alternator pullies cause the voltage to spike or sweep back and fourth. i bought mine but really didnt notice a gain. to each their own. which also reminds me i used the stock alt pulley to remedy the sweep motion.
