How Much Will Intake Manifolds Help?

I Dont have enough money to do the full H/C/I Swap. Right now I have 1k to spend and i was planning on getting either a trickflow streetburner, or a trickflow trackheat intake manifold along with a bunch of other small bolt on parts, but i was wondering how much that intake manifold would help? and also will it fit under my stock 94 hood?

You'll see a noticeable power increase. If you have to do things in step then so be it. I did a manifold before I could afford heads and it made a nice difference. If you could I would get heads first though if your gonna do it in step so you wouldn't have to remove and instll a manifold twice. I count a manifold as a simpler bolt on and heads as a more in depth bolt on. So I would do all the simple bolt ons first then worry about heads.

Take that $1000 and buy a set of heads.

Save a little more cash, get some rockers and gaskets/fluid and do the head swap.

I put a Cobra Intake on my first mustang pshhh ~ 10 years ago....it was the biggest waste. Wait till you get a set of heads to invest in an intake.

You get air that flows great through an intake and hits those POS E7 Heads...and you lose everything.

You MIGHT see a 5 HP gain....

Invest in a set of heads and see a 40-50 HP gain.

I am sure Ryclef would agree with me on this...

yea I actually had ported e7's so I saw more gain than you would.. A intake will just look pretty when you open the hood now.. heads for the win...

I would say if you you only had like 400-500 dollars to go ahead and get the intake. I got mine a year ago and put it on and I was happy with the slight increase for a few months. BUT, since you have a 1000 to spend I would say go with heads for sure. I have not got mine on yet, they are sitting here for another month. However, they will give you TONS more power the intake will.
