how much would you pay?

for custom made wheel center cap decals? I have a vinyl cutter and have been comming up with ideas of things I can do with it to help me earn a few $$$ while I wait for my lawyer to work on my disability. I developed a bunch of digestive problems similar to chrones that the dr's have not been able to figure out and has left me too sick to work. I can make these out of my bedroom when I am not feeling bad so I know I can make them cheaper then the pros can. I have a highly reflective chrome, white or clear that I can print any image/logo you want on it and then cut them to fit. How much would you say is fair for a set of 4?

I hope the mods/admins do not mind me asking on here and maybe selling a few? If it takes off to the point that site sponsorship is needed then how bout some sn95.com forum decals? Like I said I am just trying to suppliment myself while I hope for disability, yea tryin to get rich :bs:

I decided to make myself a set and have the ink drying on some generic newer pony logos that look pretty cool. I will post pics shortly

Like I said I can print a pic of yer daughter, call your ex-wife a B---h or copy almost any logo you want. To protect it I have a glossy clear vinyl that I an put over it that will make it waterproof, or I also have a clearcoat spray that is supposed to work great as well that I am currently trying on the set in the pic. what do you think is a fair price and what is a resonable price that would make you "BUY IT NOW" for 4 of these. I will get better pics tomorrow in the light.

$10 shipped for a set of 4 unless its on a "chrome" type sticker/decal (assuming the stuff is more $ than regular colors), maybe $12 then

the ones I made are on a very reflective chrome and the printing is protected by a 2nd clear glossy layer of vinyl. I will get some better pics in a min. I have a white that I can print onto, so I can make it any color you want it to be as well as I do have a number of different solid colored vinyl if you just want an outline cut out of it. I thought about starting at $10 for a basic one where it is just cut, $11 for printing which would include the second clear layer to protect it, and $12 for chrome with printing?

Please tell me what you think good or bad as I want to get as many opinions as possible and will certainly give discounts for anyone on here that wants one, free shipping too. give me a min for the pics.

This is with a clearcoat spray that is also supposed to make the print perminant. I am trying the clear vinyl on one side and the spray on the other to see which lasts longer but you can't tell the difference between them. Unless you get up and actually feel the layer on top of the cap you can't tell that it is fake. We can also combine pieces by using a large colored piece, and then putting the chrom on top of it a little bit smaller as well as with a design cut out of the middle like a pony logo to show them off. I will probably cut one of these here in a few just too see what it looks like.

I have found a source for carbon fiber vinyl and it is 5x the price of what I pay for the chrome, they are pretty proude of it... I can and will get it but you would be looking at a higher price of course. I was thinking though that the carbon would look killer to layer the two. Cut the chrome piece regular size and cut the carbon a little smaller, with teh 5.0 cut out. The chrome would show up as a small outline around the outside as well as in the 5.0 logo. the "." would of course need to be red. These would look killer but with the layers would not be too cheap. Maybe I will make a delux set and see if they can sell.

after some thought it has occured to me that I need to get a couple of these examples out there for others to see and report back on. If you guys want the pony one above, or the 5.0 I will sell a small run(less then 10 for sure) for $5 a set as long as you will get some good pics for me to use, give a report back and allow me to use you as a reference if someone in the future needs it. I will need to be sure that you will go through on your part so what I will do is charge $10 up front with $5 being returned after the pics and the report back. Sound fair?

I am going to be ordering the carbon fiber vinyl as well. If anyone is interested in that stuff let me know what would be a fair price for those? Again please if you are reading this please tell me if it is a good price, too much or one you could not turn down. If you have any other ideas let me know, I thought about some tri-bars, Trying to get as much info as possible.

I bet some black background with different logo's would sell like crazy since so many of us have black wheels or lots of black accents on our cars.

that is what I am thinking although I was suprised how good the chrome pony in the first one looked. I have different colored vinyl to match alot of different colors and ordering some more, as well as carbon fiber to do layers with.

how about with a chrome logo in the middle? Name the logo and I will make it.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate the help especially about what colors you would like since I am ordering some and just want to know what people would like. I am currently looking for a portable printer so I can take this set up with me to shows. Would you guys pay anything to have the vin etched into your cars windows for theft prevention? I know they do it for free in big cities but they do not do it anywhere near me. To etch every window, what would be a fair price?

Anything with ford or mustang on it, be prepared to get smacked around by ford. They don't take kindly to small time business using any of their logos. Just a heads up

Chrome logo might look okay. I'd either want the SVT logo or the Cobra logo for mine but I haven't decided yet.

I used to etch windows at the dealership, what a crock that was.

I already have the SVT design if you want it for the $5 and can take some pics for me. I have the carbon fiber vinyl ordered and will hopefully be here this week.

I know ford and alot of companies might have an issue with it so that is why I am trying to avoid any direct copies. The pony logo is a generic one and has some fading in it, the 5.0 they can't own. The svt I have has enough differences that a lawyer would not take it and still looks close enough to work.

The glass etching is not hard to do as long as you have the mask, not many people can make those. I know after living in phoenix they did help. I would like to try and match them up also with a flashing led to look like an alarm as well.

We used to pay like $3 a set for our acid window etch kits at the dealership. I've seen them at Pep Boys at full retail for @$30 a kit but its not a vin match just random number/letter combo's you can register in a database.
