Everyone that I have let drive my 94 GT has complained about the stiff clutch cable. I've noticed it too, but I guess I finally got used to it and it slipped my mind. But it does feel to stiff, and it feels like the clutch doesn't engage until the very top of the pedal. You have to be almost ready to let off the pedal before it kicks in. So I was wanting to adjust the cable. Never done it before. Is it easy enough to do?

do you have a stock clutch? or is there an adjuster on your firewall for the cable?

The stock adjustment method is just lifting the pedal, the quadrant has a series of teeth, as you lift the pedal it will go to the next one. But thats more if your clutch is not engaging properly, not just it being stiff.

You'll have to what advice g36monkey man gave you (put foot under clutch pedal and pull upwards) & then jack the car up and remove clutch fork cover box. You will immediately see the fork and the end of the cable itself. Do a visual inspection (end of cable should be tight against fork slit, ect..) Check operation, see if pilot bearing is not always engaged, ect..

Worn out/stretched both, same thing. Starts binding inside the sleeve. Still a good idea to visually inspect the cable connection to the clutch fork. The cable is exposed in two places, at the pedal/firewall and then again at the clutch fork. Lastly, I would not consider any clutch cable other than Ford Racing or Ford, if it comes to that. Good luck, update again please/.
