how to install white face gauges

ok i bought some white face gauges and i was wondering how hard are they to install i was told that on the speedo i have to drive down the road and have someone gauge me and stick the needle on.. Is that true? thanks for any info

Here's what I did.....write down the rpm at various speeds, noting which gear you are in.....then when you put them back on....I used a gps and put it on at whatever speed i was going, checking it at various speeds, then do the tach....they should be right. I did this on the paved runway at our house, it might be tough to do it in traffic....the others aren't too bad, just put them where they are usually at after the engines warm and the tank is full...i think there's a topic in the how-to, to do this.....I painted my needles when i did it....thats in the how-to also
