Re: Hot to remove rust??

I've used metal RXmetal polish and it works good.
just using your finger and a rag, and push hard.
power ball sucks, nothing works good like elbow grease.

if it's really pitted and won't come out, you're looking at using a super fine scotch pad, but try the RX first.
I've tried 5-6 different metal polishes, and teh RX works the best.
Just at Obsessive sells it.

I would wetsand the pipe with a very light grit like "dave94vert" said, then use a metal polish of some sort. I would recommend collinite metal wax, or go with adam's metal polish. There are so many out there, but I read that collinite takes rust off and protects the metal at the same time.

So you don't think the Billet polish will be good enough if I use some real fine sandpaper? Thanks a bunch for all the input

Try whatever metal polish you got laying around, it beats spending money for more stuff. Billet polish might work out, never really tried it but it wouldn't her to give it a try.
