Also , the SBF will leak coolant around the water pump bolts, these MUST be sealed at the threads, anaerobic sealant is best

The V6 motor is the same

No it’s not. The V6 is a single speed fan. The GT has a dual speed fan.

From your description, when you get the code, the Engine switched to “limp Home” mode. This allows the car to drive but no power etc.

In regards to the Fan, there is a known problem with the harness at the fan, it overheats and burns. Ford released a repair kit for it.
