How hard would it be to relocate the HVAC controls? I am trying to relocate them to the overhead console I have installed in my Mustang? can't I just extend the wire, cable and vacuum line?

I don't see why that wouldn't work out for ya, sounds like a pretty cool idea. I think I'm deleting Mine this year as long with the heater box lol .

where are you relocating it to?

the hardest one to "relocate" will be the "hot/cold" one, as thats a cable-driven device. ... you can relocate it to the other bezzle-bin without a problem (some fabrication required.)

there is a good amount of slack on all of the lines, but you cant go too far without extending...

Yeah I have a couple options of what i'm going to do it would be cool to relocate them to the overhead console but I just was on a f-150 forum and saw this guy install the same overhead console with the a/c controls but he took them out and did this

this is pretty cool I went to my local speaker store and they said they could do the same thing but they recommend instead of using a monitor to use a android tablet and I could still hook up things to it like back up camera that uses the HDMI adapter with audio/video/ outputs.

Another thing I had my eye on was this new head unit which uses a removable android tablet. here is the video

I would be using my phone as a hotspot without paying to use hot spots because its rooted.

sounds like too much? well I would be able to use OBD 1 and 2 to diagnose my car using the app torque

I could even use phonemypc and access my home computer or teamviewer either one works fine to access my home computer
