This rust was into the trunk area I believe right? I have a small hole there and it actually slings a little bit of dirt into the trunk. It’s where those black boxes used to be that always fill up with dirt. Good to see though, I might try that repair for myself.
Looking like I might have to patch the outer fender well lip too but my trunk stays clean haha getter done

So here’s kinda a hint to what the next plan is. Our postal service is on strike so I’m having a bugger of a time getting stuff I need. Just got back from town with some 1/4” rod and sheet metal. Looking to fit 345’s after this..

Sadly ol tightwad is getting pulled out of the shop and the f-150(the rocket) is pulling in for a new motor.

Love this project always nice to see people save these cars. Do yourself a favor, check the inside of the rear frame rails around the gas tank and near the rear crash bar. I did the same rust repair on my 99GT and had a lot of rust in those spots. Also check the trunk where the hinges meet the body. they like to rot out there as well.
