lower the timing to 9*. and/or remove the spout connector before the test. (the car will run normal up to about 3000 RPM's then fall on it's face)
That's the way I pass every year in Ga.

He is already passing the visual by passing it with only to cats. I did seafoam. Helped alot but not enough. I cant afford cats. No shop will touch it unless i put 4 cats on it witch is 800+. I'm going to try another round of seafoam.

Totally unrelated to your vehicle but when Miami had inspections I had an old van with a carbed 302. I pulled a couple of vacuum lines, took out the air filter and revved the shit out of it while I was waiting in line. It did have a universal cat that I put on it for the visual but no other smog stuff. It passed even though it ran like shit until I hooked up the vac lines. The clean air running into the manifold leaned it out enough to lower the tail pipe emissions so it passed the sniffer test.

If that would work you could run a vac line into the interior and hook up a petcock to it so you could open it when they are testing and close it when they finish. maybe even tee into a vac line for the ac controls. Change it back to normal after you pass the test.

You know a 5.0 can run clean enough to NOT need cats to pass emission testing. My 94 had no cats and would pass the Sniffer with flying colors. HC is raw gas. Sooo most likely its missing. High Co is usually running rich. Time for you to get a full tune up and an injector flush.

I wish someone would.

I only have two cats. One had a crack from hitting the speed bumps so i took it to the exhaust shop yesterday to get it welded and he said the one cat has been hallowed out on the drivers side.
