Hello guys,
For those of you that remember, I left July 23rd for boot camp for the usaf. Well Here I am October 12th all settled in my first TDY. I am about 2 weeks into technical training and loving every moment of being a military member.

Well back to the point, as you may recall I sold my beloved 2000 Mustang GT to my little brother and I am glad I did, but now that leaves me with a problem.. I dont have a car. I wanted to wait to find out where I will be stationed for the first 3 years before I made any decisions on whether to buy a vehicle or not. But alas, last week I received my first set of orders; I will be at Keesler AFB, in Mississippi! Which so happens to be perfect Mustang climate. With that being said I am looking to pull the trigger this December.

First off I plan to budget 15k for the car... but I am stuck between what to get..
I am thinking about
-03/04 termi (higher miles, less rare combo etc)
-03/04 mach 1 (lower miles, azure, comp or red fire)
-99/01 Cobra (lower miles, coupe)
-2001 Bullitt

I really dont want to get another plane jane gt, I want something special from the factory and easy to make power with. The problem is all the cars listed above are really hard to come by where I live and the surrounding area..

So tell me what you guys think!
Oh and I am glad to be back! WOOOT.

Mach mach mach mach mach
Azure or comp!

But all those choices are good! Personally I'd wait for a good deal on something with decent mileage.

Honestly, I would just look for another GT for cheap and then build it up slowly however you want.
At your age spending up to $15K on a car is not a smart move. Put that money in your savings.

If you can find a mach 1/99-01 cobra for around $10K, then I guess you could do that but a Termi for $15k? You'll regret that in a few months.

While I do agree with you to some point, but I have been saving from and from selling my car thats the amount I have to spend, in the longrun I would spend alot more building the gt to what a mach would be. Although I have been throwing around the idea of buying a cheap 96-98 and immediately doing a pi swap with stage 2 cams. But Id really like a 4v. Most of the machs I have been looking at are closer to 12k anyways..

It has been 4 months since I have driven a single vehicle and it sucks!
The day before I left for meps I drove my car to the restaurant that my family and I ate at before the dropped me off, that's the last time.

I am glad to tell y'all that within the next two weeks I will be finally getting back into a mustang!!

I have a few in mind...
-2011 Mustang gt premium 36k miles, brembos, yellow blaze $24000
-2012 Mustang gt/cs 19k, black leather, black, $26000
-2013 Mustang gt premium, ignot silver, stone leather, 2.9 miles, BRAND NEW $28000

they are all manuals.
- 2011 Yellow Blaze
- 2012 GT/CS
- 2013 Ignot Silver

Like mentioned before, I would like a clean low millage new edge, but those simply don't exist in my area.

What do yall think?

I don't about you but Yellow Blaze looks like diluted diarrhea. If you're doing 2011+ Mustang GT I'd go for grabber blue, black, grey, or white. :)

You could get a very nice 99/01 cobra in your price range and probably still have money left over. I'd look for a nice 99 since they have the aluminum block and then build it. Add a blower.

A plane jane gt with 10k in mods will walk all over any of those special from the factory cars that you would dump 15k on...

Like I said guys, literally every new edge around my area is high millage, like 150k or they think they have a Ferrari and want to charge 12k plus.
Although I did find a guy that is trading a bullitt mustang. It has 63k on the clock. I inquired to see whether he would sell it outright. But he will probably ask 12k+ as well.. haha

I might consider outright selling it but I don't know for what price yet, it's does have longtubes, x-pipe bangasiti cat back, intake, roush short throw shifter. tune, soon to have 3.73 gears, and the slotted/ drilled rotors as well as adjustable shocks and struts should be in Monday and will be added to the car next weekend. The interior is 9/10 seats are almost in perfect condition. A tiny bit of wear but nothing much, outside there is 1 small ding and a scratch on the back bumper which I'm in the process of fixing. 80% tread on tires, no curb rash. I do have the build number and build date and a small plaque that says all that fun stuff that is in the car.
Thanks

Mike
