Well good news and bad news.....first the good. Instead of getting the used exhaust I was looking at, I decided to go all out and pay for new stuff :coolsmiley:. Ordered DYNATECH Longtubes / Catted Mid pipe / 02 Extenders / stage 8 Locking header bolts / Competition engenering driveshaft safety loop / and JLP 56 inch traction bars. Thats the good news :dancing6: :dancing6: :dancing6: :dancing6: :dancing6: the bad news.......cost me 1900 bucks :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: Now I still have to get it put in, then take it back to the dyno for a retune. Getting all that new stuff installed as well as the blower pulled off and the intercooler taken out and given a GOOD cleaning.

Then when i get it back, im putting on the top notch CAI from Chickenears ( Stage 2 Coolaid kit ) you can check them out here www.chickenears.com and ill be ready to rock to the dyno :boink: And for the second half of the good/bad news.......me and the wife went and got a new ( much smaller than the one we had ) TV for our bedroom :) .........and that just added to the broke-ness of my ass :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: Its a 26inch wall mount, and I love it. Got it on sale at Wally world for 530 including the wall mount bracket. We had a 50inch in here and after we got this king sized bed 2 weeks ago......this freaking bedroom was just TOO cluttered with crap everywhere :nonono:. So it had to go :whip:

i probably would have lived in clutter for a 50 in tv :hammer:

hell no man, our room is about a 15x14 or so we have the king bed / large dresser+mirror / 2 night stands / a huge ass walking machine / and then that big ass 50 inch tv........oh yea and me and the wife have seperate closets and a door to our bath room too. So thats FOUR doors taking up wall space :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: :nonono:.......there was just no way to keep that monster in here....its SOOOO much better with it out now and the tv on the wall OUT of the way :dancing6:

you could say that :hammer: :hammer: but hey its been a LONG damn time since i spent any green on play toys. Going on half a year, so I was due....... :dancing6: :dancing6: :dancing6: im all spent out now 1500 for the bed / 1900 on the L / and 500 on the new boob tube.......and still got to fork out about 380 for the new CAI and then take it back to the dyno for re-tune and I dont know what thats going to cost :dunno:

Why'd you replace your whole exhaust?

Paul.

I already have a Bassani catback on, so the headers and highflow mid was the only stock components left. There isint much in the way of additional power from the new exhaust parts, the stock ones flow quite well. I may get 10 or 15 out of them.....the main reason they are put on Lightnings is #1 for the outstanding sound quality that comes from the addition of longtubes. Countless guys say that the sound alone is worth the investment in them :) and #2 is the fact that is a supporting mod.............for the addition of a KB or a Whipple charger. As soon as a used one in my budget comes up on the class section, im snagging it.

i'm broke as a joke right now too. i dont even have a real job, i've just been doing odds and ends with my dad, and selling stuff from my mustang and mach 1 that i dont need, like some guages, old engine parts ect. in the past 2 weeks i bought 1.6 trick flow roller rockers, ARP headstuds, trick flow head washers, trick flow head/exhaust gasket set, and msd shock mounts for my 6al. i also had to buy a bunch of paint to make my motor pretty, and my tranny is in the shop right now getting new synchrodes and my ttf track heat heads are in the machine shop getting 4 header bolt holes healy coiled. i almost have everything paid for. once my gt40 heads are old everything will be paid off. i have a lot of work ahead of me this week. hopefully i'll be back in my car next weekend
