I finally ran 12's

I ran my car at the track last Thursday and was finally able to get it in the twelves. I had the subframe conectors welded in, put the upper and lowers on and with the Mickey Thompsons was able to get the car to run a new best of 12.83 and 108.20 in 93 deg weather. It was so hot I was not going to run the car but I have been waiting for awhile and went anyways. It felt good to have traction, last time at the track on street tires I had to let out of it in first and second and when she started to walk in third I let out again. So now having traction I had to run it, and once we get some cooler temps I will run it again.

The car might run alittle better in good or even half decent weather. It has trapped as high as 110.78 in better weather with the old setup. But that was on street tires so I am not sure.

Nice dude I got into the 11's at about 130mph with street tires and a bad clutch at Darlington Dragway here in SC. That's with my new Superchaged (2.3L Whipple) 2011 Mustang GT 660hp. I was spinning up the track even almost lost it in 4th.

amzing how tires help...slicks alone knocked off almost half a second for me because i was able to hook up..but that was when i was on the bottle..

Yea if I had slicks I would run 10.5-10.8 with the same tune

@ 130 if you really hooked it'd be a high 9 low 10 all day.. Depending on weight.. Of course.. If I had 660 hp I'd be breaking the low 9's doors down..

Yea it just was spinning up the track. If I started in 2nd I might be able to do something more even with just street tires. This car has 3:31 gears too hahah.
