I don't go to SVTP - those guys are primarily a bunch of douchebags who don't do much but post pictures of their cars that are washed 12 times a week, and ask what kind of headlights they should buy. I prefer more substantive car forums.

Like I mentioned earlier, find and post your box and receipt. Find and cross-reference the PN that you ordered to Eibach's website. If you were not shipped all the parts included in the PN you purchased at an agreed price, then they owe you parts.

Didn't the truck turn out okay anyway? What did the shop do?

Well we've used the machine shop before, and never had any problems.. we don't now, we take it to a strictly performance race shop.. didnt make the same mistake again. Yea well we figured since it was just a pie job they set the whole assembly to the side, and called us to pick it up.. and didnt touch it much. Oh well, summit still shouldnt have sent the wrong bearings.

One more reason to do all your work yourself. Then you have nobody else to blame.

We should prohibit drinking too for alcoholics. And sex for promiscuous young people. And racing for anyone without formal training. Those are all very dangerous activities and we can't allow people to take responsibility for their own actions.

No, that is distinctly different from the argument I put forth.

I'm saying that a company cannot be held responsible for what the end user does with their products. Liability claims for businesses large and small are already waaaay out of control, and cost Americans billions in insurance premiums every year.

If you buy a stove from Sears, then proceed to burn your house down because you're an idiot and left it on all night - should Sears be liable to replace your house because you're a moron?

Clearly not.

It is precisely the same situation. You are just unwilling to admit it.

If you pay a shop to perform work on your car, it is THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure they are installing the correct parts. This is especially true when paying for something that requires exacting attention to detail such as motor assembly.

They did not install the correct part, and it destroyed a motor. It is their fault.

Besides, did anyone ever verify that they were indeed the wrong bearings, or was that simply a story a shop owner gave for what was clearly shoddy workmanship?

Good point, but we took the motor out and pulled it down.. and the bearings were in fact wrong. Not here to get in a fight or anything with ya man. It was like 4 years ago to so i'm not worrying about. besides, I've had ALOT better luck with Jegs, call em up and there on it. Trust me we don't use them anymore, far as im concerned even if summit had sent the right ones Simmons machine shop would have screwed it up period... oh well. over and done with

It is that kind of workmanship that has made me not trust ANY shop anymore. At this point, I just have my friends teach me how to do stuff because at least I know I will pay attention to what I'm doing. There are too many hacks working at "performance" shops these days.

Why does every use that stupid FTMFW acronym all the time? It's retarded. Why is everything "for the win?"

Anyway, Snakebit - did you ever look at your receipt? Post it up, and the PN on the box you were shipped, and so on and so forth...

But I like to wash my car 12 times a week...J/K, sucks that you got screwed man, seriously, keep going higher, get them to refund you part of the cost, figure it to be 1/3 of the kit at least, when you go high enough, they will just give you the money to stop your bitching, which is good enough for me.
