I tell everyone that wants to even think about riding a bike... Pay the 250 take the safe rider course ....offered by almost every technical college around the United States.... It's better paying 250 and knowing you just don't want a bike then to buy one and really hurt yourself on it... They put you a small 250

Sweet bike Travis

Thanks I really like it, been riding everyday this week except for today its a little wet out but its clearing up soon. Deff taking it out tomorrow.

ew. that thing was dirty, eh?

Yeah it was due for a change. Even if it did not need it Id rather know when I'm due for a next change of the air or oil so thats why I did both once I got it back home. Better then going off when the previous owner said it was done.

New tires go on next week!

Ahh the motorcycle urge....
i had this at one time. came home from a 9 month deployment and bought a yamaha r6 raven'd out.. brand new (first mistake for first bike)
i loved the power in the newer bikes! 600 was more than enough to get in trouble or die for sure.

coming onto an on ramp and laying into it?! nothing feels better with it slightly pulling off the ground ended up getting tasked with another 1.2 year deployment so i sold it cause i didnt want to pay for storing it and letting it go to waste :(

now im waiting for a set of orders over seas so i can snag a ducati.... with out trading organs for it!

So who's up for the tail of the dragon? I'm hoping to get down there by the end of the month. :)

We have a Ducati Dealership here in town which is odd b/c there are not many Ducati dealerships in this state to begin with and there are more populated places to put one. Saw one for sale just outside of town on the ride home yesterday looked like a 998 but did not get a good look at it.

Almost got cleaned out by a car yesterday, was the first time I had to actually make an evasive maneuver to avoid being hit. The car was turning from the left out onto the main road I was on from a side road. For some reason they did not see me and as soon as the car in front of me cleared enough for them to pull out they pulled right over into my lane. No idea how they did not see me, bright orange bike with HID's on high beams. I had to swerve over to the right into the break down lane to avoid the bumper of the car from side swiping me. This was probably at about 40 MPH. I came back onto the main road and raised my right hand and let them know they were #1.

bike looks great. anyone who says a 600 is boring is full of it. they're not gutless down low like people say, and breaking every speed limit in the state in a couple seconds flat, without even shifting? I can't see any need for more than that on the street. slower bikes can be more fun sometimes because you actually get to bang out a couple gears before you get arrested.

enjoy the cbr, I've always liked that tail section the most, especially with the undertail exhaust. I'll have to try and find something like that for the gixxer.

I can understand someone wanting a 1000 ( or more ) for some reasons or b/c they need their penis to be bigger but there is no one out there that "needs" a 1000 over a 600 for the street b/c I seriously doubt that unless your a professional MotoGP racer that you can push a 600 to its limits on the streets. I went to pass a tailor truck on some back roads ( b/c I hate being behind them b/c of the wind force you get off them and b/c they throw rocks ) and from when I pulled out to pass to when I got back in line I went from 50 MPH to 95 MPH, point is a 600 has plenty of power and pick up. Other then that start running and drop a few lbs.
