I Weighed My Car Tonight

And I was shocked with the results. My 97 GT with full interior, all sound deadener, FULL tank of gas, full exhaust, and bone stock engine weighed exactly 3200 pounds with me out of the car. I was expecting more than 3500, so I was pleasantly surprised by this! Then my buddy weighed his 85 GT with full suspension and full interior, and weighed 2760 without him in the car!!! Here's a pic of the number. We were looking through a glass window, but we could still see the numbers.

Not bad at all. Try getting it down to 3000lbs and it'll be pretty damn light for a mustang.

My black gt weighed 3050 with me in it. I'm hoping to have my yellow one around 2900 with me in it.

These cars aren't as heavy as I thought either. Now, you typicaly weigh with the driver, obviously you're in it when you're driving, so that's what you have to use for power to weight. Mine is 3050 with me in it, no interior or AC, but everything else there.

Damn. I'm prolly at about 3100-3200 then. No backseat or spare tire junk and i weigh about 150ish.

Last time I weighed my car it was like 3350 with me in it which would be a bit less than 3200....but I dont really have weight reduction.

Heavy automatic, 2 amps, sub in the trunk,...only think I have is the tubular k member. Full interior, a/c

Coupe guys have it good, my vert with me in it is 3505 and that's with a tubular a-arms, kmember and coilovers. I'm only 160lbs too
