Ok heres where i am at. Ive had my sn since july and have replaced a ton... including IAC TPS MAF yadda yadda. ok so after the three mentioned the car ran 100x times better. now where im at is im kinda getting irritated with the design of the iac. My r's jump roughly 200 when i hit the clutch then hang. also occasionally when i come to the stop the r's drop to roughly 450 and the car kinda wants to stall and the cpu catches it and it idles fine in a second or so. now its my understanding that they are supposed to hang when shifting but jump? that i dunno. so my question is whats the deal with an iac plate. i know some people claim they are for cammed cars and some claim they are just fake. I know for a fact they stop the hanging r's and the car runs and shifts like a normal manual. question is are there any negative effects on cpu input or emissions? if there arent any negative side effects i will make my own plate for... FREE :headbang: any input would be greatly appreciated boys and girls!

did you check the TPS voltage when you put the new one on? In my experience, replacing the TPS and setting the voltage fixed the whacky idle

Yeah I checked tps it's in normal range.

Believe it or not but TB's do wear out. If the throttle plate is sloppy on the pivot points air flows will be affected. Has the idle stop screw been tampered with? Have you played with the idle air trim screw? Messing with these screws will affect idle characteristics.

i havent changed the idle stop screw and ive adjusted the idle trim screw to idle at 600-650 with the iac unplugged and then i plug the iac back in and the computer takes over.

If you're messing around in the driveway (don't drive it on the road in case it stalls): have you unplugged the IAC e-connector and noted if the RPM's do the same dance? If so, a vac leak is a possibility.

I only get the raise and hang in between shifts and occasionally coming to a stop so it's not like I can simulate in the driveway.
