Thats the sensor located after the MAF, right? If so, im hoping to find some MAF cleaner at my local autoparts store and im wondering if it will be ok to clean the IAT with the same spray? By the way, how important is this iat? Could it possibly be the cause of my surging/hanging idle?

yes the IAT on our cars is in the intake tube, not sure what to clean it with though. It's probably not the cause of your surging, it's job is to record the temp of the air going to the engine.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Would have been nice though. I guess if maf cleaner is safe enough to clean a maf, its safe enough to clean the IAT (which is filthy BTW).
