So went I have the bbk 65mm Throttle body my car idles at 2500-3000rpm. I have replaced the IAC and the TPS twice, just to make sure. now when i put the factory Throttle body on it idles fine. Originally I thought it was because one of the screws was stripped out on the IAC but, I fixed that.
Also I unplugged the IAC and the car runs good but, I don't want to harm anything by doing that.

The computer is tuned for the 65mm.

Ported and polished gt40 heads and intake, 19 steeda cam, gears, etc....

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Yes, BBK.. hmm.. mine broke in half.. but thats another story. Sometimes the throttle plate can not fully close, and you will have a high idle. you can test this most of the time by pushing back on the plate and starting it. If not, id check for a throttle body gasket leak.

yes. i even did it twice, battery pull and everything. Remember, the stock one does not have this issue with the same IAC and TPS.

ya know I have a 75mm bbk and it decels real slow I wonder if that could be the problem. I replaced the iac a couple times so its not that.

there is a huge difference in my stock one and bbk one in decel. when I have the iac disconnected it decels fast.

I'm starting to think is the bbk throttle body.

Well this is my second junk one then. My first was a professional products tb which really didn't cut it as far as quality goes. I NEVER had any decel issues with the car with that TB, but it had other problems like the iac fitment and butterfly not closing completely. I didn't know of the problem until I went and got the car dyno tuned and the tuner found the problem with the pp one. I got the bbk one shipped to him and got the car back after the tune with the new tb and it had the slow decel issue but I thought it was something in the tune not the TB. Now it seems like its the tb.

Thanks, i have that throttle body sitting in my storage room to go onto my car next week :p. If I don't have any problems with your PP one, I'll let you know :)
