I've had this problem since i bought my car last april.

When the car gets up to operating temperature, the idle will jump up bout 200 rpm and hang for a about 3 seconds before dropping everytime i push the clutch in. I checked the IAC, it looks clean enough to be new, and i bought one of those IAC restrictor plates and it didnt a thing. And idea how to fix this problem?

lol sorry... sometimes my hands are too slow :p

was asking if what's happening to your car is when the car is parked and when you press the clutch the RPMs jump or that when you change from speed to speed and press the cluch the RPMs go up.

it really only happens when I shift while driving. everynow and then it will jump a little bit at idle, but its mainly as i shift from one gear to the new. IAC looks clean, car has a new MAF and i dunno what a TPS is?

then your car an mine do the exact same thing... on every gear shift the RPMs will go up and then will drop, but at idle is smooth and steady.
Mine also has a new MAF and IAC so basically the only "bad" thing could be the TPS.
TPS (throttle position sensor) is located exactly on the side of your throttle body, you really cant miss it.

Clean IAC, MAF, and check/set your TPS. Then disconnect your battery and then either touch the cables together or turn headlights on to drain any residual power out of the system, then wait appox 10-15 mins and that will reset your computer. The you should be good to go.

its normal, they "should" all do it, its programed into the computer to aid in easier shifting, keeping the rpms up a tiny bit while shifting. once i got my 5spd swap done, and the 5spd computer it, mine started doing it and i asked around, and thats what i was told. it does get kinda annoying when your expecting the revs to drop, and they actually bump up, but its normal

that is true but some will hang longer than needed, and thats where the recommendation to clean the IAC, MAF, and adjust the TPS comes from

as long as the car idles smoothly and below 1000/900 I think everything's ok then.
I didn't really worry about rmps going up and it does help when shifting at low speeds
