Re: I looking into this 95 GT.

Looks like my focus could be gone in the next 2 weeks, I want this car bad. If i get it looked over and it checks out ill prob offer 4k cash, if he declines, ill prob offer 4200 again, if he declines ill walk.

It depends on what I actually get for my car.

new header panel? it's been done right. excellent project car. plus the paint looks to be in very good shape. interior looks great, can be made to look new. center console looks perfect. it's been said earlier in this post, but find out which heads are on the car. those will surely make or break your offer on the car. it's clean no doubt. 3400-4000 with stock heads.

this post made me finally register, lol. hi all, this is my first post on this site, but i wanted to give my 2 cents.

one of you says you've never seen a stang that high before,

mines almost at 160k and running like new. most of the miles were highway miles and the car is nearly perfect with no rattles, squeaks, rust, damage, or oil leaks.

its all in how you treat them. ever heard of the million mile ford? a 1990 something van, of all things made it one million miles on a stock engine.

i say scoop this car up man, miles are just numbers. with a good rebuild that car will be like new.

rock on.

^ He's right, miles are just numbers. My car with 223000kms runs 10x better than my friends 1995 GT with 146000kms due to the fact that I maintain mine WAY better than him. I don't know what Mustangs like ours are worth in the USA, but in my province a clean SN95 can range from $6000cnd-$9000cnd, 9k being absolute MINT. That car looks nice, but the idler pulley looks like it's flat-spotted like mine, could just be the picture though...

I just picked up a 95 GT ragtop for $1,000 even 167,000 miles on the clock but still runs well and looks great. there are some good deals out there.

I read the thread and I dont know if this was answered. If it was I'm sorry, but does it in fact have the Stock heads? If It does in fact have TF heads on it, it's not too bad of a deal. But if it doesnt and you are going to end up putting aftermarket heads in, you might want to keep looking.

And in terms of mileage, each car is different. I still think I got a deal on mine had 28000 Original Miles and I paid 8k.

Yes it does still have the stock heads. And im not sure if doing aftermarket heads would be anytime in the near future so im not worried about it. As long as it doesnt have any major issues that need to be addressed right away ill prob pick it up if me and the seller can work something out, and if my car sells. Which im hoping will happen in the next few weeks but who knows.

Thanks for everybodys input.

i'd wait. Unless he'll come down off the price eventually. I'm sure you can find another one for a better price than that. These cars are a dime a dozen. (not saying they're cheap, but they're not exactly hard to find for a decent price.)

I doubt he will come down off the price, its been listed on a local automotive forum for over 2 years and he hasnt taken any of the 4k offers hes had so it looks like hes in no hurry to sell it, plus he has like 4 stangs and this one just sits in his garage.

I came across a 96 GT, black/grey interior, 166k, stock except for ugly wheels/taillights but it looks clean and hes asking 5k, but im sure he come down off that. Its a backup, i check craisglist, autotrader, ebay and other local forums on a daily basis looking for others.

Well this white 95 sold yesterday, and I sold my Focus today, wow.

Now have my eye on a unmolested 94 BAB gt with 130k.
