lol.....

Ive actually never had the car down the track with this current setup since im in the process of converting to a vortech since my procharger took a gigantic **** on me.

But when I was NPI with the turd trans/stock converter it went 12.7@ 113 mph or so on street tires with a 2.1 60 foot.

Should have went atleast low 12s with the NPI and the new trans/converter setup

and right now with the new motor, weight reduction, 15 inch drag wheels/skinnies, I was expecting something like 11.5 +-@ 120 mph...could be as low as 11.3ish...most likely no slower than 11.7 if I can actually hook.

but my car isnt a drag car so I dont really go to the track much

I was jk.. IM sure with better 2 valve heads with long tubes and a better tune with ur current cams can get you more power, guys seem to make 250-300rwhp+ with ur cams along with long tubes and trickflow heads, mph heads etc.

I don`t know much about mod motors.....yet. But I would think your tune isn`t right. Find a good tuner and see what numbers he can pull out of it. BTW did you drop the cams straight up, or degree them?

thats definately hurting you man, when i just dropped my stock PI cams in i actually lost hp, but then degreed them and gained power. im now putting in stage 2 crower blower cams and degreeing them with comp adjustable cam gears

my problem with degreeing the cams currently is the fact that the motor is all back together. it wouldnt be horrible to go ahead and degree them now but the car is running. I have a shop i can get a solid lifter to do it all with but its gonna be a while before i get around to it.

how about getting a 75mm plenum and t/b setup, combine that with a good tune and it should run pretty good.

who cares about the #'s out of a dyno, all dyno's are different anyways.

75mm plenum and TB are going in along with 3.73's and a set of slicks for the next time i'm at the track.

on street tires i ran a 9.211 @ 79.5 with a 2.1 60 foot

So Guys gimme some pointers.

Mod list is as Follows.
stupid ebay alum intake ( cooled IAT to 112 vs 145 stock plastic and fixed a crappy idle )
2.5 inch offroad H pipe
Flowmaster cut in mufflers on stock 2.25 pipes
PI heads
PI intake
Hitech Stage 2 cams
Dyno tune by Dante's Modular Performance

car put down 248 HP at 5890 and 268 Tq at 4k on the dot at a 12.6 AFR 17 Deg of timing advance because the engine was over 200 deg on the dyno ( fixed that by further lowering the cooling fans but was not tested on dyno )

if it isn't listed it IS stock. i'm looking to make 300 RWHP as the title says with out changing the stock manifolds

i have hitech stage 2's with pi head swap. mac catback, bassani catted x, 75mm tb, pp upper plenum. it put down 298 rwhp 315 tq with stock manifolds and air intake. i now have a steeda cai so im guessin i am at least at 300rwhp

Thanks for posting this up. What kind of dyno was it? And you are very realistic in your expectations of the cai. They really don't help that much on these little engines. I didn't think headers really helped out all that much on an n/a mild combo. I would think if you were really rev'ing it high, that the longtubes would help out more. I would say 10 hp is all your are losing with stockers, but you never know for sure until you bolt them up.
