Infinity Reference 6830cs components, 6x8 main speakers and 1" dome tweeters

The 6x8 fit into the OEM front door openings with no modification needed, the tweeters I put inside the OEM MACH speaker pods using one of the included adapters and just a couple drops of glue

You want the whole setup there deaighned to work with cross overs

Exactly, running the 6x8's requires the crossovers and even then then you will have nothing but low/mid range

Oh ok, my driver door speaker quit working, I thought I could just swap the 6x8's in. I know nothing about car audio lol.

You can still use them, just a little more work. You would connect you OEM wiring to the in side of the crossover then run new wires to the 6x8 and tweeters. Mount the 6x8 in the OEM door location, mount the tweeters, done
