Installed a new BBK X-Pipe with high flow cats. Some MSD ignition tune up parts and some FRPP 9mm wires with some NGK plugs today. My stock cats were making noise and were junk.

This is my first time using MSD. Hopefully i will have a good experience. The x-pipe fitment was pretty poor. The smog pump tube has nowhere to bolt up so it's just hanging there. The rubber hose hooked to the mid pipe is the only thing holding the smog pipe in place. The stock h-pipe had a mount to anchor too. I like the sound though its pretty mean, raspy, and louder. My Mustang wants to GO now. Throttle response seems to have improved.

Looks good.
Suggestion, get back under the car and rotate those clamps to 3 and 6 o'clock. Otherwise you could catch them on something in the road and rip the exhaust right back off.

Old school plug gapper huh?

Now you can cut the cats off and sell them to the local "recycling" yard and get some of your $$ back

I wouldn't get rid of that stock h-pipe. Stock 94-95 h-pipes are REALLY hard to come by these days, and worth good money. They're also great for getting rowdy combinations through emissions.

You should be fine getting through emissions. I passed CA and recently NJ emissions easily with my magnaflow catted x pipe.

Hmm a catted midpipe that doesnt have anywhere for the air pump to hook up too. When I put in my xpipe I just cut the air tube in half and took it out along with the majority of the emissions "stuff"

Thanks buddy! They hang a little over 4 inches from the ground.

Yea, pretty much the factory h-pipe has a clip welded to it that you can fasten the smog pump pipe too. Keeps it from banging on stuff and making noise. The x-pipe from American Muscle didn't have anything to fasten the smog pump pipe and just came with a rubber hose to connect it to the cats. That's all that keeps it from hanging free which seems a little strange to me but I guess that's why they call it aftermarket. The pipe seems generally sturdy with just the hose though...

I would consider removing mine but I need to pass emissions where I live. That crap sucks for changing plugs on the passenger side though...
