Instrument Cluster question

My instrument cluster in my 98 Gt has went a little haywire. Will 96-98 all interchange? I’ve seen some 98 Gt clusters on ebay that says it’s a 1 yr only cluster and 96-97 will not work. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

The answer was no. Found out the hard way, 98’s are wired differently somehow. The voltage gauge and oil pressure gauge on 96-97 will go crazy. 98’s have to have the blue circuit board on back to work correctly. Crazy.

Absolutely. It could help someone later for sure. Especially when ebay lists them as 96-98. That’s just asking to ruin someone’s day. Lol
