So I'm driving around town a few weeks ago and what looks to me a blue cobra with racing stripes pulls up on my left about a half a car back. He sees me looking at his car, smiles, and I give him a thumbs up and drive away. Now at the time, he was sort of behind me a bit so I couldn't really make it out. It looked like he put some work into his car, but went slightly overboard, but I couldn't really get a good look at it, so didn't think much of it. Well a week later I'm at a car and bike show, and towards the end of the day that blue cobra and a couple of his buddies from a local mustang club drive into the field where the classic mustangs are sitting. I'm thinking, cool this should be interesting.. that is, until I get up close to them. The Cobra is not a Cobra, its a Fobra, and the mods he did to this thing are well... they're not my cup o' joe at any rate. I mean, my ride is nothing to talk about at this point, but well, pictures are worth a thousand words. Found these on the car club website.

This is the car pretty much as I saw it a few weeks ago (though this isn't the show we were at). Notice the red fangs in the front bumper :angry7:

These are apparently photos of the car before the new front bumper went on:

The guys with him weren't much better. One was a beat up SN95 that someone keyed up towards the rear quarter and the other was a beat up Fox. I felt embarrassed for them.

Yeah, the second image shows he corrected this. There are a handful of other images on the local forum, but thought these were some of the best.

That car is saveable though.

Yeah, I suppose it could be worse. Mustang enthusiasts on forums tend to be fairly rational when it comes to pimping their rides. But seems to me a lot of people can't seem to draw that line between cool and tacky. Yesterday I saw a green New Edge with race stripes, Euro taillights and a giant spoiler, and I can't help wonder what's going through a person's mind when they do stuff like that.

Agreed. I'd also get rid of the fangs, the Cobra emblems, the vinyl pony sticker, the side scoops, the (I'm assuming) nonfunctional hood pins, and match the tail light housing to the rest of the paint. I can't remember what the interior looked like. If I remember correctly there was a lot of billet parts. He's put approx 2600 bucks worth of mods into his car, but the only go mod is a CAI. Meh, to each their own I suppose. Again, I have little room to talk since my paint job looks like crap, and my go parts amounts to gears, catback, and a K&N filter at the moment, but still if I had the money I do it differently.
