I suppose Ill make this my "newb" intro, Im on a lot of automotive forums and just picked up a SN95 car. Used to have a 95 Cobra and missed it so much I had to get in another. Anyway on to the issue at hand

I purchased a 95' Mustang GT with a electrical gremlin. The previous owner claimed that the following all stopped working simultaniously:

Speedo
Dome light
Keyless entry
Doorlocks
Clock

Ive done a little prodding around in AllDataPro and it looks as if these circuits are tied into the same ground? So this leads me to believe that Ive got a bad ground or a possible short in a wire somewhere. Ive checked all grounds I was able to find under the hood but havent found any inside the car to check.

Another note of interest is the previous owner claimed that this happend about a day after installing new carpet, any grounds under there?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

There are several miscellaneous grounds under the dash. Have you checked the fuses?

I pulled alot of my carpet and I saw grounds under it I do believe. May be a place to check. However, someone on here may know more considering mine is "new edge" or whatever.

fuses are also good to check
