yes. the odometer can be switched out.

the 5.0 clusters look the same as the 4.6's but are wired slightly different.

Didn't they have the digital odometer in 1996? Or was that for the new edges in 1999?

I didn't know you can swap out the odemeter.. I recently had to change mine out bc the fuel gauge wasn't working now with the one I swapped the odemeter doesn't work and says it has 250.00 miles.. I bought the new odometer plastic gears.. how can I swap out my old odometer to my current one ? any one do this swap ? thanks for info
