Is this bent enough to warrent replacement?

I thought I could always hear this noise coming from the car at low speeds but could never figure out what it was until now so I took a quick video. Its the front drivers side axle and when I spin it you can hear the gear making contact on the small piece of metal that sticks out ( not sure what its called ). What do you think?

That's you ABS sensor. I can't tell from the video, is your exciter ring warped or is your sensor bent?

I replaced my hubs recently and the sensor rings were 100% better then the fragile OEM sheet metal ones

Don't know why Ford used such a cheap design

The ring is bent, if it was the sensor it would scrape around the whole rotation. Its hard to see on the video but you can see daylight between the ring and sensor an when it scrapes that gap of light closes up. Its more easy to see in person then on the video.

I think that would be a manufactures defect, therefore returnable.
I don't how else it would get bent other than at the manufacturer.

btw they are spindles in front and axles in back

Well that's what I meant I doubt it's returnable it's the original and the warranty was out long ago

The ABS ring is made onto the front hub but so you would have to replace it all. Here's a link to what it looks like. They can get warped just from age, getting hot and cold etc. Also if you over tighten your lug nuts over time it can warp both the rotor and the hub.

Yeah I planned on replacing the whole hub
It's a sealed unit anyway. I just wanted to know I'd that amount of play is acceptable
Or if the hub should be replaced. I have it apart anyway so it's a good time to do it if need be
