well guys seems like nobody can figure out that when the cat gets on my car scrathes get all over it. i put the cover back on when i got home tonight from driving it to a swim meet and i noticed one giant scratch on the decal on my hood. its a deep scratch and since its only a decal, i doubt it will come out. but is there a way to get it out?

body shop. lol.

they will have to heat-gun the sticker and use plastic razor blades to peel it off.
wash the car
buffing compound the hood (gets the glue off)
use a wax-stripping compound on it (cleans the clear coat off, removing excess buffing compound, wax, and glue)
place a new decal
re-wax the hood
wash the decal

at least thats what the top-quality shop here in denver told me they would do with my rocker stripes wehn i asked about changing from gold to black....

Are you sure there is nothing inside your cover that could be scratching the car, like a rock or dirt?

yeah i checked. she's clean as a wistle. i also found out the my brother decided to take the mach for a spin with his friend the other day when neither my parents or i was home. thats why there's a giant scratch down the side of my side skirt. and hes never driven a stick before so theres no telling what the mach went through. wtf is his problem

Take it off... paint the whole middle section flat black

+1 thats a good idea... it'd be cooler than a sticker that will sun-fade in 5 years.... like the old fox bodys with "GT" stickers.

It does look good but that car does not have any other decals. Your car does and may need the decal to tie it all together.
