Is this possible? Daytime running lights??

You know how on certain models of Cadillac's the running lights are the side marker lights? If I found out which model is for sure and bought the electrical assembly, could I wire them up on my Mustang? I really like the bright amber look they show off! I bought some Sylvania BrightStars hoping that might get it done. They're brighter, just not how I wanted them. I just thought of that while driving. See ya and thanks!!

I want to add Cadillac running lamps where my blinkers go. I want the brighter amber color. That is about as good as I can explain it, I think.

Why don't you wire the fogs to be one by themselves with no parking lamp or anything and find some bright amber fog lights? Just a thought.

I know what your talking about, my Malibu has those amber running lights also.

If you wanted your headlights to be daytime activated you could just use whatever the Canadien Mustangs have as its standard up there so stock oem parts exist.

I have had my fog lights wired up so they come on for a long time. I don't know, I just like the parking lights + the fog lights being on look. I do not want my headlights to come on. Thanks!!

that makes a little more sense. it sounds like you just want what the foxes and new-edges can do, run sidemarkers with just
foglights. i dont know of a way to get them to come on all the time, but there is a foglight rewire thread somewhere where
you can make this possible.

yeah it's pretty easy to do but all the write-ups suck... or they never seemed to work for me anyways.

I have my fogs wired up so I can turn them on or off whenever the key is turned on (either accessories or if the car is running). I basically leave the fogs on all the time though as day time running lights (as soon as i turn the key they turn on, but can always be turned off with the flip of a switch). If it is overcast at all or getting dark I turn on my my parking lamps as well (turn signals) but leave the headlights off.

I think that's sort of what you are talking about but I can't tell. you do know that you can pull your headlight switch out half way and just the parking lamps will be on right?

I have my fogs on all the time. I have my parking lights on when it is dark enough to see my reverse gauges light up. I drove a 90 Mustang. Since then I have loved that look!!!
