Issue programming new remotes

that was me that said that and based on the fact that it did cycle the locks a time or two after the on/off sequence it leads me to believe it is a dealer installed, but I was just curious if we did try the other way the vids show to program. As simple as it is it only takes a few seconds to test.

2002 would be factory equipped, however. It was standard equipment after 1999 on all models.

OP, any chance you are resting your foot on the brake pedal while you are doing this? IIRC, that will prevent the vehicle from going into programming mode. I don't think it should be stuck in programming mode however, as there are various triggers meant to take it out of programming mode.
