I fired it up tonight, and have been driving it around, i think it has bad gas in it, its about 10 months old.. heres the current problems im dealing with..

it has a miss, kinda wierd one.. it will putter a little bit when going up hills under load..

and over bumps i can feel the driveshaft slapping the chassis.. kinda wierd i dont know

so i'll take it a step at a time, first with running the bad gas out of it. and checking all of my connections in the morning.

The ethanol that they put it gas now a days is supposed to only be good for a few weeks, I would just throw some dry gas in since ethanol collects moisture.

Dang thats a lot of driving

I love to drive man, i must say..

update, i put some new plugs in it.. seems to run better, but still has a small miss.. i went wot eariler for the first time, in 2nd about 30mph and pulled it to about 5k spinning but their was still a miss.. i dont know where to start.. im thinking its a bad coil.

possibly a gummed up injector , do you have a way to do a cylinder balance test on it ? if not find a buddy that works at a ford dealer to do it for you , will help you narrow it down it if wont throw a code for which cylinder is misfiring on its own

108 octane booster on the first tank. baby the piss oput of her for a few oil changes. do not go over 3k awhile and since the aluminum has its own heat cycles on the beariing clearances do not drive it until its its at operating temp.

Ive been taking it very easy, just opened it up a few times man just to know it can breathe

Cops ftl... it seems like a lot of people have problems with them.

Yeah i wanted to use cops because before on my coil pack setup i always had problems with the wires literally jumping off the spark plugs when i would drive, it was very annoying.


..I think its vacuum related man, i tightened up a few lines the other day and changed one out and it ran better, like it was before. i think im going to start there, i want to get a new air intake too, the two connections for the valve cover and the plenum on there have broken off and i think air getting between there is part of my problem too.

You want to put the rings under load to help seat but not high rpms. It will wash the walls down. Coming on the highway and giving the oomph to get across is good. But 5-6k is no bueno.

no 5-6K Yet lol.

I redid all the hoses that run along the plenum and cai and it fixed all the bottom end problems, but now it just misses on top.. im going to go to the ford house and have my cops tested and go from there.. also just picked up a new set of fuel injectors

it has to be one of the two..
