some people think i need a radar detector...who knows why. :

i had my old one near the bottom of the windshield and had it ran through the clock pod, behind the radio and into the lighter plug.

I really dont want to come off wrong. If thats a COBRA than its a POS. Its the i4/v6 mustang of radar detectors. Piece of shit and should be burn and thrown off a cliff (not the mustang lol, but the radar detector).

Other than that good job O0 Also, with it mounted that high your killing off some of LASER detection. It should be mounted lower to get the best range from Laser and radar.

Oooo its a gift from the wife ;] Sorry about that. Use it forever than ;D If its breaks get a Bel STi or something.. just research that forum i posted to find the very good detectors.

Dont fall for the cobra gimmick. the shit about 12 bands and 6 band is BS and its only to tkae your money. Police only use 3 main bands and thats K and Ka and Laser. Some states use X band, buts old technology and its rare. So, dont fall for it. Just use that forum i posted and they will guide you through all this radar talk. Also, the cobra has the looks that gets people to buy it. I know its look cool as hell, but most will detect a cops radar gun when your right up on him and thats to late. The higher price radars can pick up police radars 1-2 miles away and over hills. Like today i was going to panda express and i got a KA alert so i hit my brakes. The alert kept going on for about 1.5 miles down the road. About 3 minutes away i pulled into the panda express and the alert got super loud and to my surpise the cop was in line to order foood. Now thats good detection range for a budget $150 radar. Dont expect to get good range from $60 radar detectors unless you like the range of being alerted when your so close you can smile the officers breathe.. you get what you pay for.

Mine has the cobra emblem.. in like satin or something of that nature... if you look at my first pic.. it matches my light switch for the headlights as well.

I just need the a/c knobs next.

Bestbuy is a fucking jipp. They sell cobras mainly and it sucks. Escort has a good detector out called the passport x50 8500 and its hella good, but expensive. Cobra's leak a signal that most of the time is picked up by other radar detectors as a ALERT which makes people think its a cop with a radar gun. Thats why its frown apon by serious radar detector users.

Radar Roy ( the maker of that site/EX trained police radar person user) has it under his inventory, so its not exactly bad. Just not great as others in that price range.

Im not here knocking Cobra RD's b/c my dad has a cobra RD himself hehe. I swear the internet gives out way to much information acouple months ago i thought Cobra's detectors was the best out there. If yours does its job well and detects cops (and thoses pesky automatic sliding doors at stores like walgreens and CVS) than thats good enough for you. I have a $150 one that is good enough for me also and i know theres other good ones out there.
