That will be a fun build Fetz,

do you know the term Fish plating the frame?
basically putting an angled piece on the top and side of the frame to reinforce it/make it stronger.
you could fish plate the crappy parts of the frame and rebolt/weld it on for relatively cheap if doing yourself.

Never heard of fish plating but I'm sure my dad has. Gonna Look in to that tonight

A 1in body lift is not that bad. 4" body lift would be different but that 1" shift shouldn't be an issue.

Be careful, you don't want it ending up like my brother's CJ. lol

My bro's is far from streetable lol. He bought it off a guy that does competitive rock crawling and that was his first rig that he built for it. Of course, that was like 15 years ago but it's built pretty solid. He wants to add EFI and hydralic steering to it but iunno if he ever will. Literally, the only factory Jeep part left on it is the front grill.

for street, a 4 inch body lift is illegal in most states.

Maybe so but that doesn't change the fact that a 1 inch body lift is not a drastic change. If he needed the extra clearance, it's a simple way to gain it.

Ha I started a war, I apologize for that.

I would put the suspension lift in, and try to fit the tires you want, if you can great. If not, throw the extra inch in there if you just have to.

Idk how hard body lifting wranglers in, but I helped a few friends with toyota pick ups and it was nothing.

Im not putting a 4" body lift on, just a simple 1" as I have the body off the frame and it will be easier to install now then later. This way if I need it its there, if not its no biggie. Im not rocking climbing, jumping, or doing any serious off road. Im just going through some mud and some trails.
