i just bought a paxton supercharger used i was wondering if anybody has any pointers on installing it??

Get an instruction manual if you already dont have it.

Read, and re-read the instructions as you go along.

Take your time! Dont rush through it and get help if you require it.

use a pack of Mt Dew to lure a few friends over and knock it out in one day :) (or a weekend depending on how much you work) i installed my procharger d1sc in 2 days all by myself so it's do able to install a paxton in 1 day.

like Magic said, take your time and just read up on all your cuss words that way you are prepared before hand. lol

the only thing im scared of this install of my charger is the drill and tapping of the oil pan!!! then problem that im thinking that i might have is that my dosent come with a tune.. i already have sct x2 with a tune in it, do you guys think i call sct and then can give me a base tune just so my car can run??

You could call SCT, but they will probably direct you to an SCT tuner near you to go to. SO yea, get a base tune for the blower setup, then gently drive over to the tuner and get it tuned properly.

Did you get a fuel system upgrade too? Larger injectors and pump? What psi is this kit set up for?

42lbs injectors regulator but no pump I gotta buy what size pump should I go with? It's 8psi kit. But I called sct and they told me to
Call this dyno shop and I talked to them and they got a base tune for so I'm good with that now

255lph pump should be ok, and i just put mine up on a trailer to get to my tuner but no one was closer than about 2 hours for a tune.

also as far as the drill and tap goes, it's really simple i mean really simple paxtons instructions till you the exact size bit to use and tap to use so don't be worried about it.. if you are really worried about it find a used oilpan that has been drilled and tapped for a paxton already

call and find out, i know that procharger doesn't email them because the images get distorted when scanned in so they just mail for free

if it were me i'd just use the 01-03 instructions although things like installs don't really scare me plus the 01 and a 98 are very similar just difference in coil packs and stupid smaller things that if you know wont make a difference; since you want to make sure you get it right just call.

edit: wow after looking through the 01-03 install pages i was like :sad5: holy crap there is so much to installing these suckers i am so glad that i got a procharger; no tapping; no cutting of fan parts..

lol lucky i know the procharger install is way easier but i hope after the hard work it will pay off

Whats the difference in
Fuel
Pumps on 96-97 mustangs gt and 98 mustang gt cuase I can't find one for my 98 gt cause all of them say for 96-97 gt

oh i know this one lol... um dang it i don't know how to explain it... all that i did was buy a 255lph pump and when i did it was the ford GT pump and i removed the actually pump and placed it in my hat and all...

the 96-97 gt's use a different hat than the 98 gts

buy the focus 255lph pump (like 89 bucks) and just remove the actual pump out of it and it's a direct swap into the 98 gt pump system.. :) that is what i did.

or just got to like americanmuscle or somewhere and buy a 255lph pump

OR a better choice is to get a pump from 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, these pumps flow more than the Focus pump.

They sell parts for 10-15% over cost. Save yourself a load of money over list prices.

a focus pump will be good enough, as for your oil you theirs plugs near the oil filter, you shouldn't have to tap
