Wow, is it just me or does that seem incredibly low for the Trickflow kit? Figuring at 350bhp, that means he's got roughly 25% drivetrain loss there...

Also depends on the rest of the combo such as the exhaust and other factors. You cant just use the numbers as advertised and expect that it is what you will see on the dyno at the rear wheels.

Ask any ricer, it WILL do what's advertised. Dyno or no dyno :)

Im guessing this 260hp is without a tune, for the love of god I hope so! Im buying the same kit hoping for 280-300rwhp with basically everything he has but I will be getting 24lb injectors, 70mm Throttle body, 190lph fuel pump, and on a fresh 306 too. Kinda hesitant on it now though :S.

I would go 30# injectors. I know someone on here will say its too large, but it made me a bit more HP on top, and they are running about 75% duty cycle.

If you go with a good quality exh. with either 1 5/8 shortys or long tubes(preferred), 70mm tb and a good CAI(make one, most suck), you will make 280-300RWHP. if you want more, Anderson Ford Motorsport has a combo that should make about 320hp at the wheels.

Im probably going to start buying parts soon and completely forgot about headers! I have a 2.5" offroad H hooked up to a magnaflow catback. Thing is, this is the first I have heard of the TFS kit making less than 270 at the rear wheels... Any idea on what 1/4 mile pass I could get with it on slicks?

should be able to get 12's but there is no way to know for sure. You just have to go and find out. Plus it does not matter what anyone says here for what you should run it only matters what you do run

I only got 320rwhp on a mustang dyno with my 331 and the trickflow kit for comparison. People get so stuck on numbers my opinion is who cares. I only got my car dynoed so it was tuned I really wouldn't care too much how much it put down I just wanted a nice running car that had some power.

That is why I went to the dyno several times, to make it run right. The car was so jacked up when I got it together, and the dyno saved alot of time by diagnosing exactly what was wrong.

the 350bhp figure for that kit is ridiculous, this is not the first time i've seen the TFS top end kit put up low numbers, pretty much any searching would have shown you that it doesn't make great power...

just another reason the trickflow kit is full of fail...

My car hit the rollers with a completely stock motor, bbk headers, O/R X pipe, Mac pro dumps, UDP's, 70.. TB and a CAI and made 7 less HP, and 1 more ft/lb of torque... and I was lean too. with a good tune, i would have made more power.

seems like a $2500 waste of time to me

thats not possible I bet on the same dyno that he was on and your car would be a lot less than his. You have stock heads/cam theres no way your anywhere close to where he was at powerwise.
