Hey everyone. Long story short, I bought a 96 KB Cobra and I've been going through all of the maintenance. I've been doing a little research and found out Kenne bell recommends the stock fuel regulator for my install. Well, the regulator doesn't have any boost or vac lines running to it so I believe that's why I have an extremely rich running condition at idle. My understanding is it should be boost indexed (or connected to a supply line post blower).

The problem is I cannot get into the area to replace the line. Whoever did the install did not cut down the fitting like KB advises so it hits the bottom of the intake. With that said, I'm looking for some solutions on how to get to it. I could take a pair of snips or a dremel and try to cut it down but I'm afraid I'd just damage it or close off the opening. I thought about removing the intake from the back of the SC. It looks like there are 6 schs bolts holding it on.

Thank you!

I assume your just cutting off the nipple on it? If so I think I would shove some tissue paper in the hole and I would use my dremel and a cut off disc. After the cut pull the paper out with it upside down to get any shavings out.

You could go with an aftermarket fuel rail and fpr mounted somewhere else.

Yes, for clarity I know how to do a clean cut with it off the vehicle. I guess my question is more along the lines of how do I get to it.

just keep this in mind if you cut it
put a 45-degree elbow not 90 degree
the 90 will fit to tight and smash it to the side chocking it off

one of my reasons for heating up the rail it sits on and slightly bending it down

Ended up removing the blower and installing a new regulator. I did end up cutting the nipple down. I want to come back later and reflare the end, but I tugged on the line and it's solid.
