keyless entry issues...

So I have a 98 gt and I bought it without any keyless entry fobs but anyways I've looked in the back and it has the keyless entry box but for some reason It's just not working. I've replaced the whole assembly with one that I know works and still nothing. I've tried cycling the key on and off 8 times and grounding the 2 posts together in the trunk but I never get the locks to cycle. Any ideas?

Checked this fuse as well and it checked out okay.

Haha well I tried grounding the post out with a flat head and everything I did it nothing would happen, and then it hit me... maybe I should have the Damn key on derp! Grounded it, hit the lock button and bam! Keyless entry. Lol It's amazing what happens when it actually has power running to it. Lol

shucks I might have done that! Plus others I'm sure...so now be glad you saved multitudes from hundreds of fruitless hours searching in vain for a solution....no frustration or heart attacks! See you did a GOOD thing!
