My car has a Pro 5.0 with a Tri-Ax handle mounted on the right of the shifter. My dad brought up the idea of mounting it on the left of the shifter- something that honestly hadn't occurred to me.
Switched sides- I like the feel with the handle on the left a lot better- you're pushing against the shifter instead of pulling on it, and it feels a lot more confident going into Fifth and reverse. Plus the shifter is closer to you.
Only thing that sucks is that the Tri-Ax handle hits the shifter bezel- someone before me put on one of dumbass fake aluminum trim rings around the shifter and the handle hits it on the 1-2 shift. I'm going to put the Pro 5.0 handle back on until I can figure out how the damn trim ring comes off. (It has Allen screws in it, like they're set screws or something, but I cannot figure out how to take it off)
Shifter handle on the left for me now... and I think I might be able to appreciate the Pro 5.0 after making the change!
