last saturday, I decided to get a little squirrely since I had some douche in his ride with 24's behind me revving his shit. I made it to about 3400rpms when this let happened:

Secondary timing chain broke, the tensioner extended and hung the chain against the primary chain guide and it snapped the cam gear into 3 pieces. At least that the way i think it happened. Yay.

Damn man... better a timing chain and gear than a whole motor.

Was it worth it? lol

Well, after swapping in the 01 cobra engine, it held together for about 3 months before it blew a head gasket. I had it back together for about 2 weeks and now this. I'm kinda getting used to it.

As far as worth it, im glad it gave way a few miles from home and not an hour or 2 away. I wasn't holding anything back either, I had my foot to the floor letting it eat.

lol, damn. At least you don't have to crack the new head gaskets and bolts to fix it this time. lol

If I were you I'd degree the cams to make sure the motor did not jump time on that bank. It's very likely that you damaged the valvetrain.

After putting it all back together, it runs and drives but I'm down on power quite a bit. I haven't done a compression test, I'm sure it'll tell me I bent a valve.

^^ That's very likely, at least one.
It is possible that if the compression check shows that the valves are ok - the two banks might be off from each other, the comp test will show that too.
Sorry to hear about this, was there any warning, like rapping/tapping/low oil pressure?

BTW I do have some extra valves kicking around if you need.

Not a bit of warning, it just went all at once. I may have to hit you up on those valves, depending on what I find.
