So I put LED lights in and was wondering if the white housing that the bulb plugs into was made to just to hover over the hole for the light? Why didn't ford make it a secure fit kind of like all the other light bulbs on the car?

Thanks JJ

While im not too sure abou the lense, I am sure Ford was prone to occasional brain farts. Hence 205 HP mustangs!

because the lense was suppose to be the secure fit for the bulb and bulb socket... but 2 plastic push pins are suppose to hole it all together

Mine fits fine, you don't take the cover off to change the bulbs lol. You change the bulb from the inside the trunk. My LED swap turned out fine, if I wasn't worried about getting my blower parts, I'd be doing LED cluster gauge bulbs too.

lol I'm not going to "vortex" my plate. I don't see why people blur their plates, not like someone is going to track me down through the DMV and try and kill me... I hope.

I did change them from the trunk but when I was trying to unscrew the bulb from the housing the housing came with it leaving just the lens. I didn't know I broke it until I reinstalled them because I didn't understand why they seemed to just sit in there and not lock in to place. So last night I took the lens out and glued the part back together.

Also I think it would have been easer to take the lense out in the first place because I couldn't get my hand to where the bulb was in the trunk. Maybe you guys have small hands?

I am very small, so yes, small hands haha. Being a littler person has it's advantages. But in all honesty, all of the older (honestly, all Ford before 2010) have VERY crappy license lens covers, they always come apart over time. I think they are like 5-$10 for a new one, they aren't that expensive I know that.
