I need to replace the driver's side visor and lighted vanity mirror as mine has some internal wiring problem, I have been told that the visor must be from a convertible to fit my convertible application. A visor from a coupe will not fit. I have talked with a seller who says it doesn't matter. Can anyone verify what is correct. If coupe visor will fit the convertible application I know a junk yard close by that has two sn95 's , one is a GT and one a regular coupe. (The GT is smashed up pretty good and the drive train is gone , the coupe is a 3.8 )

We need someone who has one of each to comment. I know we have someone here that does, I'll look around for a screen name to tag.

have you removed yours yet to see if the wire is still connected, or if you just need to ground it better?

Visors are vert specific coupes wont work with the vert as the mount is 100% different to jive with the vert top.

I want to replace the torn visor on my ragtop too. The mount is different, that's for sure. I wonder, though, if the visor itself off a coupe can be pulled off the swivel rod and put on the 'vert rod without tearing anything up.

OK here is the problem. The "door" on the vanity mirror that you flip down has disappeared from the car , I'm thinking fell off and got kicked out onto the ground. That "door" is the switch for the lights. It has a terminal at each end and when the "door" is flipped down makes contact and lights the lights . It has continuity to the passenger side and so neither side will activate. I need the "door",cover or whatever it is called to make the lights work. I figured replacement was easier than trying to find this flip down"door". So far from everyone's help the coupe sun visor wont fit a vert , obviously because the windshield frame and mounts on a vert would be different than a coupe. I think replacement is the route
