lighting heads vs. pi heads?????

i found a hell of a deal on some lighting heads, an was really wanting to know what the difference was between the 5.4 lighting heads an the regular 5.4/4.6 pi heads??? just curious so ill know if they are worth getting or not.....

IF 2 valve they are the same heads.

BULLIT/LIGHTNING/GT if 2v they are the same. cams are the same for Bullitt and GT. lightning maybe the same. most difference in those engines besides cubic inches are the intake manifolds.

you forgot the 2V F150's and Crown Vics..... All the same. And yes, all the cams are the same as well.

the only reason i changed from npi heads to pi heads was intake/cam options. even so, 2v have shitty intake selection.

well i was hoping there would be some difference but i guess ill get em anyway seeing ive been in a serious need for some pi heads for quite some time now. so im getting the heads with a comp cam stage 2 ex270ah. would those be worth putting on my 5.4 build or should i go with a different type cam?

That cam kicks ass.. its my cam and duff used it for a while. makes your 4-redline pull like a train and it should be a killer combo with a 5.4 build.

i use the xe270ah-13 Grind

I have those too lol. They are definitely not.

This thread just reminded me that the guy who sold them to me five year's ago had them marked as "Bullit" on Ebay lol.

well i picked everything up, the guy even threw in a pi long block just to get it out his shop. lol so i got to doing my research the other day an i found that my 5.4 block is a 98, with it being a npi block would those stage 2 cams still work after the pi heads go on????
