Lincoln aviator eng in a 96

    Any one put this eng in the 96 i just got one. With on it 60k im lost with two things fuel rails can i do the mark 8 rails an the cop since mine has coil packs

    Wow just read my post lol i pick up a Lincoln aviator eng.can i use my coil packs or do i have to use the cop system an can i use the mark 8 fuel rails if not what can i use for fuel rails.

    Unsure about the rails, but to use the plugwires just get a set of older valve covers from a mark8 or conti

    You can use mark 8 or 96-98 cobra rails but youll need to modify the mounting tabs. Look up a c head swap for a 96-98 cobra, the usually have instructions for modding the fuel rail

    got the mark 8 fuel rail pain in the ass to make fit when u dont have the right tools but i did it i will post some pic soon

    whats the difference between a regular dohc and a navi motor??

    Regular in terms of Mustang talk, dohc=4.6l and navi ='s 5.4l. Not all navi are dohc though. The early navi are 5.4l 2v. Navi engine carry hp potential but not cheaply.

    Would any one be able to help me with the vac line can i just run them how they were on my 2v or would it have to be like the linc was set up

    I cannot say for sure, but I would thing the vac lines need to be ran the way the licoln was set up.
