Re: ANOTHER EXHAUST THREAD FOR ME!!

aaron that vid sounds good for what it is :)

would a pi motor affect the sound? like the actual tone or anything? cause like that mustang i posted earlier I want mine to sound just like that but idk if the pi npi difference would make it sound different?

Yes. PI definitely affects the tone of your exhaust. It's inhaling more air. PI sounds alot more agressive than NPI. If you listen the the two vids I posted here, you can tell the difference. The exhaust setup is exactly the same the only difference is that one is when I had the stock NPI motor and the other is after the PI motor. :thumb:

heck no!!! pi owns

and any exhaust is tame on our nonpi if you lightly go into the throttle. If you jam it down WOT or push it down half way its goin to be loud.

Take a listen to my current exhaust

Tame when lightly on throttle... loud when going into the gas alittle

o/r h and macs
http://media.putfile.com/exampleofquietcruise

another example the loudness. Dont worry magnaflows wont be to loud on our cars- http://media.putfile.com/MIC-2007-06-16-20h43m11s

and the true loudness of my nonpi.. http://media.putfile.com/mustang-9
yep it sounded like a dump truck @ take off because i didnt launch correctly :coolsmiley:

I wouldnt worry. the cops dont care either unelss you rev her up to 5.5k+ while taking off in 1st on a public street :hammer: :hammer:

Re: ANOTHER EXHAUST THREAD FOR ME!!

Anything catless is going to be on the loud side. I had my offroad Prochamber with 40 series flows and it was very loud, i'm guessing 4.6s are different. The only thing nice about Flowmasters are the tailpipes, which are a touch small I think, and their fitment. Their mufflers are made pretty cheaply and do fall apart and rust out over a long period of time. I never drove my car in the rain and didn't put many miles on it so the Flows i took off still looked new, but I know a lot of people complain about their longevity.

It won't make a humongous difference but it will be noticeable.

Well, getting a catted midpipe might make life alot easier. Some guys just swap on their stock mids for emissions but that can be more hassle than what it's worth. Some guys even pass emissions with an O/R pipe. It's really up to you.

in missouri for safety we have to have cats. emissions is just a cel isn't on an exhaust past the door

but I'll probably get cats now that u bring that up.... SO EXPENSIVE. $529 for a bassani catted x plus cost of mufflers... wow I gotta work 2 months to make that much.

Check out ebay and craigslist. I was just browsing craigslist and saw like 3 catted midpipe's for less than $200. 1 of them was bassani.

Re: ANOTHER EXHAUST THREAD FOR ME!!

I have been looking on craigslist too, looking for sportlines, lca's and c/c plates on there lol

the only thing that comes up when i search the whole entire site for bassani is an 03 cobra http://stlouis.craigslist.org/car/576264130.html
a 99 vette and 2 harleys.

when i look up magnaflow it comes up with cavalier exhaust parts and a 3" civic exhaust

lol...screw the exhaust, buy the Cobra :hammer:

Sometimes you have to search for "exhaust" or "mufflers" or "mustang". Then the brand name is listed in the description. :thumb:
