Hey guys havent been on here in a long time. Its been a tiring summer since i was forced to sell my 99 cobra. I have been working 60+ hour weeks (built a HUGE biker bar in sturgis with a killer schedule so it would be open for the bike rally)since feb and now finally slowing down so i can actually enjoy life. I have been stangless (depressed lol) since january. good news is i will be picking up an 83 gt t top next weekend for a new project. its a hell of a change from my insanely nice 99 cobra but i am excited for a fun project. needs some work (interior mainly) and it is in primer so will be painting it. Debating on doing it myself and i am also talking to a guy who does it on the side out of his garage to see how much it will cost to get done. My objective is to have a car for the mustang rally in sturgis so i may be rocking a primered car labor day weekend but o well lol. plan is to find an interior to get in it before hand and i may be spraying the motor for the drags as i have most of the parts already. Cant miss another rally as it is too much fun!

The plan is to make it more of a fun play around car to take to track etc and continue working on it while saving for a newer stang down the road. Trying to track down a complete interior/find a cheap shell to get the interior out of as it just has bucket racing seats so need back seat carpet and most of the plastic pieces. ill post up some phone pics here . i am insanely excited to be back in a mustang. i figure i had a 95 gt a 99 cobra and now its time for a fox lol

they are cell pics so not the best quality but get the general idea

Ive been in a bar (building it not drinking i swear lol) and thats about all i have had time for. I was forced to sell it. Had medical problems last year and bills stacked up and i moved and had an issue with finding work so was forced to sell it. the kid that bought it put an eaton on it, blew it up then put 03/04 cobra in the block and did a bunch of other stuff to it. i seen he had an ad selling it a week ago and now it aint up anymore so guessing he sold it.

The car runs/drives just needs mostly interior work and paint. i will know more next weekend when i go look at it but pretty much guaruntee im getting it unless its a total mess (but doesnt look too bad). starting my hunt for an interior now

Pics added

Well i got the car a couple weekends ago. had a few more issues then i was aware. No exhaust just has straight pipes and a few things that need straightened/cleaned up from PO. And the clutch is slipping bad (thinking maybe the rear main is leaking on the clutch). i will find out when i start tearing into it. did a compression test and turned out decent so once i get the clutch in it (pry gonna swap in a 10.5 clutch/flywheel) confirm it runs as good as it feels (it is pretty quick till the clutch starts slipping) ill be spraying it while saving up for bigger motor down the road. And now here are the pics

Sweet project...definitely needs a lot of work, but it'll be awesome when you're done with it.

yeah it needs work but really nothing too horrible. the body is very solid and with some paint and fixing on spot behind the door that is it for the body which was one of the main reasons i got it. no panel replacement/patching etc just paint etc. and plus i am kind of liking the t tops think it is gonna be cool and set it apart from a lot of the other foxes running around (i hardly ever see one). i got it for 1k and considering what other rusted out foxes are going for i think i got a good deal. its a project but a manageable one. just need to get the $$ to put into it. i plan on having it all done in a year for next years mustang rally. hoping ill paint it next winter/spring which i plan to do it myself.

The whole clutch issue sucks cuz it is stopping me from doing the mustang rally this weekend. but the good news is i can still go enjoy the cars and get some ideas for the project lol

Car is running. Need to get some mufflers on it and need to get a clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster cuz the clutch is not releasing where i want it to. Seems as though the plastic quadrant is wore out. the pedal has a lot of movement up and down and actually moves side to side too. gonna take it to work tomorow and try to avoid any issues with cops and the noise lol

made it to work and back with no issues with the cops. gonna get a quadrant/firewall adjuster, mufflers, check over the balljoints, tie rods wheel bearings and figure out where the power steering is leaking. gonna fix all the little cheap things for now...
