I am thinking about going to long tubes when i do my K member in a couple of weeks. My current exhaust is ford racing shortie headers, flowtech x pipe, and bassiani catback. What would be a good set of long tubes to go with my current exhaust? Its on my 94 GT with a s-trim so i should pick up some power with the long tubes right? And clearance shouldnt be an issue with a upr k member! Thanks

summit brand is cheap and good, ive had no problem with any of there headers, hooker, heddman, and bbk are better quality but a lot more expensive, borla, dynomax and jba are good and are even more expensive, they all great and basicly do the same thing, just depends on how much you want to spend, the black painted ones are usually the cheapest but they dull out fast and might get a little surface rust, chrome ones are more but they get that black/blue/purple color to it, which i think actually looks cool, ceramic coated is usually the most expensive but they last and usually wont get the surface rust

as for power you might see a good difference higher in the rpms cause of the supercharger

You could buy the cheapest ones you want... then have them ceramic coated. I got my shorties coated for
120 or 130 bucks (cant remember exactly) So long tubes couldnt be that much more. As long as they arent huge anyway. Worth a look into, just compair prices and see if it would save you some coin.

just don't get mac. they don't have a solid once piece collector so they warp over time. i've had sooo many exhaust leaks its not even funny. i have bbk ceramic coated long tubes and a dr. gas x-pipe going on this weekend.

what are you planning to do for the midpipe if you go longtube?

I have the BBKs on both my 89 and 95 and I have had no problems and am really happy with them. The 89 has the chrome (rusted) and the 95 has the ceramic (rusted). In all fairness to the ceramic ones, the 95 is a daily driver for now.

The BBK ceramic rust because they are retarded and don't coat the inside, only the outside.
