Longtubes going on soon + shorty h-pipe.. question though

okay, so my dad and I will be doing the long tube install soon and i have some questions.

when i install the long tubes and the shorty h-pipe, the mufflers and everything behind the h-pipe will be in the same location correct? if so, how can i bring the mufflers closer to the h-pipe, cut the tubing? because i dont see how im going to get the exhaust bent back to the SVO side skirts.......

please help! and whats a reasonable price (for good work!) to do my exhaust? as in bend the tubing and fit it to the openings of the SVO side skirts...

since when did u get svo sideskirts? the catback will be in the same location as it is. so yes you'll probably have to have someone cut the tubing before the mufflers to move it back then have it custom bent out the sides. unless you have a side exit exhaust lined up?

you wont have room to move the mufflers up. Look under your car the tunnel isnt designed for it. thats why on the side exhaust kits the exhaust enters and exits on the same end of the muffler.

the red square is the recessed area your mufflers sit in...look where the arrows are infront of that area.. its floorpan. You couldnt get a muffler to sit there.

You might be able to get a tube style muffler to fit in the tunnel, but I doubt it without it hitting the drive shaft.

NOOOOO i love how my car sounds!!! my car is louder than my friends BAB cobra that has BBK LTs, offroad x, and magnaflow catback!

the tone of my car is sexy, granted its the most basic mustang exhaust (Mac offroad hpipe + 40 series flowies), i love it!

what kind of muffler should i get? The rest of the exhaust is MAC LT's, MAC o/r hpipe (shorty obviously).. then i need mufflers. does flowmaster have a 2 chamber 40 series flowmaster with the inlet/outlet on the same side?

you would be better off talking to an exhaust shop.

get your LTs and full exhaust on. Once you get your side skirts on, drive to an exhaust shop and see what they can do for you.

the muffler shop closed at 2 though (230 here) so ill have to wait till monday to talk to them. :crying:

I have MAC LT's, flowmasters and shorty H-pipe as well. I also have dumps on mine and its so damn loud its insane. It sounds really good, but I am thinking about going back to X-pipe. I like the sound of it better. When I switched it actually made the car a lil quieter. Not sure if you have suspension, but be carefull, i had to raise mine up cause i was hitting my LT on everything

im going to have to be careful because theres no way im giving up my ride height.. i actually wanna go lower but now im afraid to go lower cause the LT's and the side skirts.

ill just start avoiding speed bumps all together, idc if i have to back up in the middle of the street... lol
