Just looking for some ideas of what to do to my car. I have a 98 Gt mustang and its all stock. I do not know much about cares but I am very interested in learning. Where should I start and so on and so forth? Any suggestions would be awesome.

First off, welcome to the forum!

If you car has no modifications at all, I would first start with a short shifter. It's inexpensive and will change the feel of the car and make it more enjoyable. I would suggets going with MGW's Orange shifter.

From there you can go countless routes. The best plan is to figure out what your goal(s) with the car are going to be and start planning to meet them. Depending on your goals certain modifications might change.

Lower it, nice wheels, after market shifter, different mufflers (or whole exhaust redo) and a 3.73 or 4.10 gear will make it feel faster even if its stock.

I'd say go all over the internet and find some cars that you like the look of. You can then post some pics on here and people can tell you what kind of wheels, wings, hoods, amount of drop, etc. that those cars have on them.

Here's what I think should be the first mods....aftermarket shifter, subframe connectors and gears....from there you're only limited by your imagination and the size of your wallet.:eek:

Build what you like and what you want out of your car, without knowing your intentions it's hard to make suggestions. You should do what you want though, not what other people tell you. You can look at a lot of our sigs and see the kind of stuff we like.

I suggest a shifter, exhaust, and lowering it to be the best first mods. It's way more enjoyable that way, especially on the street. Plus, those mods aren't horribly expensive like a blower or something.
